Hello Travelers,
This month’s newsletter is dedicated to winter vacations! Before that though, it turned out that so many people went from last month’s email to our spring break page that it crashed our website for 10-15 minutes. The problem is fixed and we’re sorry to anyone who tried to access the page, but just got a blank white screen. Now here’s our brief guide to winter vacations:
First we’ve got “Best Winter Vacations” by US News & World Report, which is a good place to start. Then we’ve got an article by Travel + Leisure on “The Most Affordable Winter Vacations in the U.S.” For those thinking they’ll have to skip a big vacation this winter for financial reasons, we’ve got Awesome Mitten’s recommendations on “21 Amazing Towns to Visit in Michigan This Winter.” This is probably going to be the least expensive option, including even just a short day trip.
Lastly, and this one really caught our eye, we have an article from a credit union in southeast Minnesota titled: “How To Plan Affordable Winter Vacations You’ll Never Forget.” Not only do they have a helpful vacation budget tool, they even offer something called a “Vacation Club Savings Account.” This allows their members to deposit small sums of money into an account specifically set up to save for vacations.
For anyone reading this email who is interested, so far we’ve found two credit unions with branches in BC that have a vacation savings account option: Honor Credit Union and the Marshall Community Credit Union. In both cases, we called their main phone number to learn more.
We’ve got specials below for winter vacations and links to all the articles below that. As always, stop by and see us at 26 Michigan Avenue East in downtown Battle Creek. Our hours are 10am – 4pm Monday through Friday. You can also reach us at 269-962-6255 or by email at sales@ermischtravel.com.
Sincerely,
Your Friends at Ermisch Travel
